So I'm VERY addicted to this app - I enjoy the sharing of photos instantly.

Until yesterday I was wondering why my photos would never get as many 'likes' as others, and I realised it was all down to the Hashtagging.

I only started hashtagging about a month ago, but would only tag what the photo was, eg #sky or #trees etc.

This morning I read somewhere on the web (I can't be bothered to re-find said page) that using the popular tags make you more likely to get 'likes'

So I tried it, 2 minutes ago, on a pic that had 7 or 8 'likes' already. It now has 18. In literally 2 minutes! I'm aware this is a far cry from those that have 50 or 100 'likes' but for me it's a lot! It's not an especially brilliant photo so it's no surprise.

Webstagram's website has a list of the top 100 hashtags out there, so if you want to increase your likes and follows, i'd suggest whacking a few of those onto your picture comments and watch your likes go up (even if just by an extra 10 likes!)
